Melting Down
You would think it would be the child having the meltdowns, but today it was me. I had my first bad day since the diagnosis, which anyone would have thought it would have been the day of or day after the diagnosis. As long as Chris seems to be having a good day when me a bad one, and if I am having a good day when he a bad one, we should be okay. Both of us having a bad day would really be a BAD day.
It's hitting me that this will not be an easy life for us, especially Chris. He's getting the brunt of it because we are going to be super tough on him for his own good. More appointments ahead next week to discuss our therapy approach. ABA or DIR...not sure which, but DIR seems to be what most autistic kids are getting and responding well to these days.
Lots of adjustments to be made around here...starting already.

Know that we are all here for you, happy, sad, mad or glad! Thanks for all the insight with the previous post...something to help us all understand what Christopher may be feeling. Let me know what days/times I can watch Bella with your upcoming appts.
